STEMCore does not store or have access to your full credit card details.

Information Sharing & Third-Party Services
We may share limited information with trusted third-party services only as necessary to operate our business, including:
Acuity Scheduling (appointment scheduling and intake forms)
Stripe (payment processing)
Google services (Google Meet, Google Forms, email communication)
These providers have their own privacy policies and security practices.
Information for Minors
STEMCore provides tutoring services to students under the age of 18.
For minors:
A parent or legal guardian must book services and consent to the collection and use of information, filling out the “STEMCore LLC PARENTAL CONSENT, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, & ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT” found on the intake form when requesting an appointment.
All communications and scheduling are assumed to be authorized by a parent or guardian.
Data Storage & Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we work to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

Meet legal, accounting, or business requirements
You may request deletion of your information as described below.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations/Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund or reschedule at no charge.
Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable and will be charged in full.
No-Shows
If a student does not attend the session or joins more than 10 minutes late without notice, the session is considered a no-show and is non-refundable.
Late Arrivals
Tutors will wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
Sessions still end at the originally scheduled end time; late arrivals do not extend session length.
Refunds
Because tutoring time is reserved and tutors are scheduled in advance, refunds are not guaranteed.
Refunds may be issued only in the following situations:
STEMCore cancels and cannot provide a comparable reschedule option
A billing error occurs (duplicate charge, wrong amount)
A technical issue on our side prevents the session from taking place
Chargebacks
If a chargeback is filed, we reserve the right to pause future services until the issue is resolved. We will provide scheduling records and communication logs to the payment processor.
How to Request a Refund
Email liam@stemcoretutoring.com with the student name, appointment date/time, and a reason for the request. If approved, refunds are issued back to the original payment method (processing times vary by bank).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the STEMCore LLC website and tutoring services. By accessing our website, scheduling services, or participating in tutoring sessions, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Provided
STEMCore LLC (“STEMCore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides academic tutoring and educational support services. Our services are intended to supplement a student’s education and do not guarantee academic outcomes, including grades, test scores, or admissions results.
Tutoring services may be delivered virtually (e.g., Zoom) or in person, as specified at the time of booking.
2. No Academic Guarantees
STEMCore does not guarantee:
Specific grades or score improvements
Test results (including SAT or AP exams)
Course completion or academic advancement
Student progress depends on many factors beyond our control, including effort, attendance, course difficulty, and instructional context.
3. Academic Integrity
STEMCore provides tutoring and instructional guidance only. We do not:
Complete graded assignments on behalf of students
Take exams, quizzes, or assessments for students
Engage in or support academic dishonesty or plagiarism
Clients are responsible for complying with their school’s academic integrity policies.
4. Tutor Relationship
Tutors who provide services through STEMCore are independent contractors, not employees. STEMCore facilitates scheduling, payment, and communication but does not control tutors’ teaching methods beyond general quality and professionalism standards.
5. Scheduling, Payments, and Cancellations
Appointments must be scheduled through our approved scheduling system.
Payment terms, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, and no-show policies are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By booking a session, you agree to those policies.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information during booking
Ensure students arrive on time and prepared
Maintain respectful and appropriate conduct during sessions
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for disruptive, inappropriate, or abusive behavior.
7. Technology & Session Issues
Clients are responsible for:
Reliable internet access
Functional devices (computer, camera, microphone)
STEMCore is not responsible for session disruptions caused by client-side technical issues.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, STEMCore LLC shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Academic outcomes or decisions made based on tutoring
Missed opportunities, grades, or testing results
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific tutoring service giving rise to the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by STEMCore (including worksheets, lesson plans, and proprietary resources) are for personal educational use only and may not be redistributed, sold, or reproduced without written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.
11. Termination of Services
STEMCore reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or misuse of services.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms

STEMCore LLC is committed to upholding academic integrity and ethical learning practices. Our tutoring services are designed to support student understanding, skill development, and independent learning.
Permitted Academic Support
STEMCore tutors may:
Explain concepts, strategies, and problem-solving approaches
Review practice problems or example questions
Help students understand feedback from instructors
Assist with study strategies, organization, and exam preparation
All guidance is intended to help students complete their academic work independently.
Prohibited Activities
STEMCore does not:
Complete graded assignments, homework, quizzes, or exams for students
Provide answers intended to be submitted as a student’s own work
Participate in plagiarism, cheating, or academic misconduct
Circumvent school, course, or testing policies
Tutors may refuse or end a session if a request violates academic integrity standards.
Client Responsibility
Students and parents are responsible for:
Ensuring tutoring requests comply with their school’s academic integrity policies
Submitting only their own original work for grading
Using tutoring as a learning aid, not a substitute for independent work
Violations
STEMCore reserves the right to:
Decline specific requests
Terminate sessions immediately
Suspend or discontinue services
if academic integrity concerns arise.

Minor Consent Notice
STEMCore LLC provides tutoring services to students under the age of 18. For minors, a parent or legal guardian must schedule services, consent to the collection and use of personal information, and accept responsibility for all payments, communications, and compliance with these policies.
By booking tutoring services for a minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have the legal authority to do so and consent on the student’s behalf.
